Class Descriptions

  • This 55-minute class involves a series of classical Pilates exercises performed on a mat without equipment. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. Instructors will pay special attention to alignment and form. Props – including foam rollers, therabands, weighted balls, the magic circle, and more – may be used to add challenge or assistance throughout the class. Whether you’re a beginner or expert practitioner, this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs, and flatten the abs. Mat classes are multi-level in order to accommodate all clients.

  • This is a 55-minute group equipment class, which is multi-level in order to accommodate all clients. The reformer, chair, springboard, Cadillac, ladder barrel, and spine corrector are all Pilates equipment designed to add resistance and support to a classical Pilates workout. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. This full-body workout will strengthen your deepest abdominal muscles while sculpting your legs, arms, and back. As the class level gets harder, the pace will get faster, and more challenging moves will be introduced. If you are brand new to Pilates, we strongly recommend that you begin your training with a private session or an introductory package.

  • The most advanced level of Pilates Mat Classes takes Pilates to a challenging new level. Building upon the fundamental knowledge and strength developed in the mixed-level classes. This class will add more balance, strength, and fluidity to your practice. This class integrates advanced work on the mat encouraging balance and endurance.

    Prerequisite: 20 Mat Classes

  • Advanced Reformer is for someone with a fair share of reformer experience. Level IV-V will challenge you with more complex moves and exercise flows. Stay mindful, breathe fully, concentrate, be precise and controlled, and move fluidly. The entire order of exercises is presented in their classical form. The moves are more intense and highly functional, working different muscle groups to increase effort and control, improving overall strength and endurance, and burning calories faster.

    Prerequisite: 20 Reformer Classes

  • This class is excellent for those looking to add cardio into their pilates routine! This high-energy workout incorporates interval training with jumpboard segments, hand weights, TRX, and Reformer to challenge and strengthen the entire body. It’s low impact and form-focused but sure to leave you sweating. Bring a water bottle and a sweat towel; you will need them! *Not recommended for beginners.

  • Pilates Sculpt is a modern twist to a classical workout. A combination of Pilates Mat with the added challenge of the Bala Power Ring, Bangles, and Bars. This class focuses on core strength and muscle balance while working on stretching, toning, and alignment. This full-body, low-impact class is excellent for building strength and gaining muscle definition. Pilates Sculpt is appropriate for all fitness levels.

  • A low-impact but intense fusion of Reformer, Mat, & Jumpboard, delivering the ultimate results of integrative fitness. This 55-minute class will engage core muscle movement on the mat combined with exercises performed on the reformer, closing with a sprinkling of the deep burn of the jumpboard in between.  This combo class builds strength and endurance and improves balance, coordination, and flexibility.

  • Arguably one of Joseph's more challenging creations, the Pilates Chair stands out as a truly beneficial piece of equipment. This versatile apparatus proves highly effective in developing core, arm, and leg strength. Using springs of varying resistance attached to pedals, this 45-minute chair class offers a dynamic and invigorating workout that will tone and strengthen the body. It's a perfect step forward for a client who feels comfortable with the exercises learned in the reformer work and is ready to attempt a more advanced version of Pilates. A pre-req of 20 classes is required before joining this class.
